いかがお過ごしですか？　

Maikoです。

昨日は家の近くで毎週日曜日に行われるSunday Marketへ行ってきました。

オーストラリアのショッピングセンターは大体どこでも週末はお休みなので
駐車場を利用してマーケット（ガレージセールの様な形）が開かれるのですが、
規模も結構大きくて売っているものも何でもあり！

個人の人が出店するので本当に皆さん売りたいものを売ってるんです。　
とても楽しいマーケットでした。

オーストラリアではこういったマーケットがよくあります。　
短期の旅行や留学などでこちらへ来る時があれば一度足をのばしてみてください。

CHOCOLATE　GOOD FOR MUM AND BABY

Pregnant women who give in to　cravings and indulge in chocolate 
can reduce their risk of developing pre-eclampsia, a common and 
serious pregnancy complication that cause high blood pressure, 
according to US researchers.

A chemical found in chocolate particularly dark varieties 
theobromine, stimulates the heart and dilates blood vessels 
and has been used to treat chest pain and high blood pressure.

The researchers found that women who ate the most chocolate and 
whose babies had the highest concentration of theobromine 
in their cord bolld were the least likely to develop pre-eclampsia.

The study was published in journal epidemiology and the researchers 
theorised that chocolate could improve circulation 
in the placenta while blocking oxidative stress.  
 
Pre-eclampsia affects one in 20 Australian mothers 
and can lead to life-threatening complications.
