Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama ordered a ban on the mediation of "amakudari" -- 
the practice of retired civil servants finding re-employment at private companies 
and public organizations in industries they formerly supervised -- by government ministries 
and agencies at a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday morning.
