　　米国内にある世界未来学会の予測によると、「純愛がもてはらされ、家族を重んずる
時代がくる」という。エイズなどの急増で、気軽な性交渉を避け、家庭に生きがいを
もとめる風潮がでてくる、というのだ。エイズは世の中の流れをかえようとしている。

in the number  of  aids(  acquired   immune
deficiency   syndrome)   cases, people  will avoid casual  sexual   relations   and tend  to seek
a   worthwhile   life  at  home. AIDS  is about  to change trends
  in  society.

   I  doubt what my  eyes  see,  thinking  the number of 
 zeros  is  wrong.

     Hiroaki  Mitsuya,  who  is  carrying out  research  on 
 AIDS  medicine   at  the  National

million  yen   for  kilogram  for  research  purposes  and 
 added,''   It  was  probably   because   it
was the United  States  that  I  could do  so.''  

   Even  though  the seriousness of  the problem  in  Japan
 is different from that  in the 
United States,  a   budget  of   60  million yen  is  just 
 too small.

   I   don't  want  to  say so, but it is now an age when a
 tank cost  400 million yen.
I  wonder  if the government seriously  wants to 
 develope  preventive
and  curative  medicines.

雨を吸ったダケカンバの幹が珊瑚色に輝っている。

         about  a  week ago  when I  was  walking  on  a plateau  in  Shinshu,
I  was hit by a sudden rainstorm.  Holding an umbrella,  I  walked  along
a  deserted  path.  Amid  the  green  of the Japanese  larch woods, 
the'' yamahotarubukuro"    flower  was  blooming.

      Washed  by  the rain, the gloomy  reddish-purple flowers were 
bobbing  up  and down.  A   20-centimenter-long  worm appeared
and crawled   across  the  path.  The  coral-colored  trunk  of a 
birch was  shinging  and  absorbing  the rain.

　　在約一星期以前、我走在信州的高原上、被微雨打著。在唐松的樹林的

空と山だけの世界でふと、この言葉を重ねあわせたい気持ちになる。

       There  were  just  heaven  and earth-the sky  and  the mountains  and nothing else.  
In  such places where  it seems like there  is nothing, there is actually  an  
abundance  of rich things.   It  might not be appropriate  to use the 
phrase''  muichibutsuchu  mujinzo''  to  describle  my state of mind at 
such a time, but I  suddenly felt  it as I  observed  the world of only
sky and mountains.

　　有著天和地、其他一無所有。除了天空和山脈之外、無任何東西。在如此的

来形容。但是 在僅有天空和山脈的世界中、突然会有和這句話相映著的感覚。

　　雨あがりの高原には、光のしずくが乱舞している。群生するヤナギランが
風を求めて背のびをしている。細い葉も細長い花穗も空を突く形になっている。
白いめしべがめだつ赤紫の花には、華やいだ雰囲気があって 楽しい。紫のしっぽを
ぴんと立てたクガイソウが、所在なげに風と遊んでいる。

       After  the rain,drops  of light  danced  for joy  on  the plateau.
The  willow  herb  stretched  upward, seeking   the wind.
The thin  leaves  and long , thin flower  heads  looked as if
they  were piercing the sky.

     In the reddish-purple flower of the willow, in which the white
pistil stands out, there is a gay and pleasantr atmosphere.
The  Culver's  root, with its  purple trail  thrust  rakishly
in the air, was playing with the wind as though
it  had nothing better to do.

　　在雨停了的高原上、有着光的雨珠在乱舞着。群生的柳蘭花在風中、梃直着背。

紫色的直立著尾久尾草随風到処吹揺。
