こんにちは、株式会社ランゲージ・キャリア・サポート「英語の仕事
.com」キャリアカウンセラーの田中理恵です。

9月に入り、秋のファッションやメイクの話題がチラホラが出てくる
季節となりました。やはり秋の気候は過ごしやすくていいですね。基
本的に私は夏が一番好きな季節ですが、今年の夏の暑さはちょっとき
つかったですねぇ。はっきり言って辛かったです。登録者の皆様は体
調を崩されたりしませんでしたか？9月に入り、気温の変化で風邪を
ひいている方が増えているようです。お気を付け下さいね。

さて、今週のお仕事情報ですが、通訳のお仕事が入ってきています。
登録者の皆様にも人気のお仕事ですが、今回は同時通訳レベルの通訳
者を募集しています。かなりハードルが高い案件ですが、お仕事詳細

Dear Readers

As usual I have been following the sports scene quite closely 
this week.  In continuation of last week's article, it looks 
like Team Canada is in full control of the Junior Men's Ice 
Hockey Summit Series against Russia.  The Canadian squad reeled 
off four consecutive victories on Russian territory and now the 
teams will travel to Western Canada for the remaining four games.  
Also, at Flushing Meadows (New York), the US Open Tennis event 
is well under way, with most of the favourites already into 
Round of 16.  I guess the odds on favourite would have to be Federer.

Tomorrow will be lesson 1 of the September edition of the Business 
English Seminar.  The discussion topic for this week will be 
"The News" itself.  Specifically, news sources, what makes news 
trustworthy or not, and frequently used "news related" vocabulary.  
Recently, we have seen an increase in bilingual call center type 
positions.  Please contact us if you have an interest in call

[Editor's postscript]---------------------------------------
Just after writing the introductory greeting, I noticed on the 
Canadian news site that Team Canada clinched the 8 game series 
with an 8-1 victory at the MTS Center in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  
I was kind of expecting a more closely fought series given 
that in nearly every World Junior Championship it's always 
Canada vs. Russia in the finals.  I guess this gives us the 
mental edge in this year's upcoming tourney.
