読者の皆様へ

こんにちは、株式会社ランゲージ・キャリア・サポート「英語の仕事
.com」キャリアカウンセラーの田中理恵です。

先週末の日曜日は特にこれといった予定がなかったので、部屋の大掃
除をしました。6月末に引越しをして以来、毎週末のように、台所用
品、電化製品等の新しいものを買い揃えてきたので、ダンボールや包
み紙が常に目に見えるところにあり、なかなか部屋が片付かない状態
でした。徹底的に隅々までピカピカにしようと決心し、朝から掃除を
スタートしました。掃除機がけ、フロアの水拭き、水周りの掃除、等
々、計6時間ほどぶっ続けで掃除をしました。お陰でその夜から腰痛
に悩まされ、今でも少し痛みます。無理はするものではありませんね。
今後は定期的に少しづつの掃除を心がけます。

さて、今週のお仕事情報ですが、通訳/翻訳案件や営業事務のお仕事が
増えてきました。今回の通訳/翻訳案件は数ヶ月毎に定期的に大手自
動車会社様よりいただく案件です。こちらはハイレベルなスキルを求
められますが、我こそはと思われる通訳者の皆様、是非ご応募頂けれ
ばと思います。また、営業事務のお仕事は長期も短期も入ってきてお
ります。中級レベル以上の英語力をお持ちで事務の経験がございまし
たら是非ご応募下さい。

Dear Readers,

Finally after what seemed like an eternity, the sun has come out.  
Hopefully this will be the start of the real summer (but maybe 
it's still too early for that).  Anyways, it will be nice to get 
back to hanging laundry outside again instead of inside.

Last week Language Career Support particiapted in the Human 
Capital 2007 exhibition at the Tokyo International Forum, an event 
mainly geared for HR and hiring personnel.  It was a great 
opportunity to showcase our staffing and English testing (Versant) 
services to the exhibition guests.

Some old co-workers from one of my previous employers also dropped 
by our booth at the exhibition.  It was nice to catch up on some 
old stories and  to introduce our company to them.  Hopefully that 
will translate into some more position availabilities for our 
staff as well.

├─┼─┤夜遅くになり私はなんとなく疲労で無口だったのですが、
│後│記│突然目の前に素晴らしい夜景が広がり疲労も吹っ飛んで
└─┴─┘しまうほど興奮気味に、「ここ、どこ？どこ？」と夫に
　　　　　聞きました。「レインボーブリッジだよ。」との返事に
    　更に喜びがこみ上げてきました。「こ、これが有名なレ
    　インボーブリッジからみる夜景かぁ♪」と感動してしま
    　いました。私の故郷の神戸の夜景も素晴らしいですが、
　　　　　高層ビルが建ち並ぶ夜の風景も違ったタイプの素晴らし
　　　　　さがあり、「あぁ、私、東京に出てきたんだぁ。」と、
　　　　　期待と不安の入り混じった気持ちで上京してきた時のこ
　　　　　とを思い出してしまいました。あの時の気持ちを忘れず、
　　　　　これからも登録者の皆様のお役に立てるよう頑張ってい

[Editor's postscript]---------------------------------------
I was chatting on MSN on the weekend with some old friends in 
Canada with whom I used to play hockey with.  The conversation 
shifted to hockey pools (a type of player stats gambling) 
which I used to regularly participate in.  It made me acutely 
aware of how out of touch I am with the NHL.  You can read as 
much as you want on the net, but nothing compares to the 
constant exposure to hockey news I was used to back home.  
If anyone is interested in talking about hockey, drop me a line.
