こんにちは、株式会社ランゲージ・キャリア・サポート「英語の仕事
.com」キャリアカウンセラーの田中理恵です。

先週末は関東にも台風が接近し、雨と風とで荒々しい天候となりまし
たね。せっかくの3連休も思う存分楽しめなかったのではないでしょ
うか。悪天候にもめげず、私は引越し後に必要な生活用品を購入する
ため、買い物に出かけました。川崎駅周辺をウロチョロしていたので
すが、ゴールデンウィークかと錯覚するくらいのすごい人だかりでし
た。やはり3連休ということで、旅行や外出の予定を前もってたてて
いたのでしょう。天候に恵まれなかったのが残念ですね。

今週のお仕事情報ですが、英語講師のお仕事が入ってきております。
これまでの英語講師と言えば、英語ネイティブ講師の募集が多かった
のですが、今回新しく入ってきた英会話講師、及び英文法講師は日本
語ネイティブを募集しております。日本人生徒と講師がしっかり理解
し合うように、日本語での説明も必要な場合があるということなんだ
と思います。ご興味のある方は是非ご応募頂ければと思います。

Dear Readers,

From the off-season typhoon that hit Kanto to the big earthquake 
in Niigata, this past long weekend was quite eventful.  It was just 
a reminder that these sorts of natural disasters and events can 
happen anywhere and without warning.  It also left me wondering 
when something big might happen around here, so I spent a little 
time on the weekend checking up on my emergency goods at home.

Recently we have seen a little bit of an increase in a demand for 
non-native English instructors.  More specifically Japanese 
instructors who can explain English grammar in Japanese to students.  
If you are interested or know anyone who might be, please give us

│後│記│見る以上に悲惨な状態であることが想像できます。お年

　　　　　来て、避難所で横になって眠れているのかが心配です。
    　このような非常事態にこそ最も大切なのが、人と人との
    　助け合いであると、私は経験から学びました。新潟の被
    　災地の皆さんが、元の生活に戻れる日が出来るだけ早く
　　　　　来ることを心より祈っています。

[Editor's postscript]---------------------------------------
The ice hockey season is over for the season, but the summer 
has the annual amateur draft and the usual frenzy of off-season 
free agent signings.  The free agenct signings are I suppose 
just a part of the business that is the NHL, but I always watch 
and follow the amateur draft closely.  When I lived in Canada, 
I especially liked watching the Junior league games (16 to 20 
year old players) and the annual World Junior Hockey Championships.  
The latter of course is the annual showcase of the world's best 
junior players seeking to impress scouts for the chance to become 
a professional player.  Watching the level of the pros is of 
course exciting, but it is the passion of the juniors that catch 
my attention the most.
