               スカラスティックワークショップへのご招待(埼玉）

Open for all teachers who are interested in learning more about Reading. 
A variety of fiction and nonfiction readers will be displayed. Great 
opportunity to explore readers from Scholastic. 
Still accepting for 2nd and 3rd workshops!! 
Reading指導にご興味のある先生方、また、精読や多読用リーダーをお探しの
先生方、是非、ご参加ください。フィクションやノンフィクションのリーダーも
各回とも多数展示いたします。お手にとってご覧いただけるチャンスです。
第二回と第三回で若干名受け付けています。


1st Workshop/第一回　（終了/Done)

Title: Framework for Reading 1: Alphabet & Word Recognition Skills 

Contents: This workshop will introduce the first steps of Reading Framework. 
Topics include Concepts of Print, Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Sight Words  
and Vocabulary Building.
内容：Framework for Reading 1: リーディングの基盤となる初歩のスキル 
（Concepts of Print, Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Sight Words, Vocabulary 
Building）の概要とその指導方法をお勧めの教材と一緒にご紹介いたします。 

Materials/教材：
Phonics From A to Z, AlphaTales, Book of Rhymes & Rhythms Series, 
Scholastic Phonics Workbook Series, Sight Word Readers, 
100 Words Kids Need to Read by...Series, and more.  



2nd Workshop/第二回 (若干名/Accepting)

Title: Framework for Reading 2: Fluency to Comprehension 

Contents: This workshop will introduce the next steps of Reading Framework. 
Topics include Reading Strategies, Fluency and Comprehension.
内容：Framework for Reading 2: リーディングの次の段階のスキル（Reading 
Strategies, Fluency & Comprehension）の概要とその指導方法をお勧めの教材と　
ともにご紹介いたします。

Materials/教材：
Fluency Formula, Action Readers, Clifford Big Red Readers, 
various Teaching Resources on plays and reading activities, and more. 



3rd Workshop/第三回 (若干名/Accepting)

Title: Fiction and Nonfiction Titles from Scholastic 

Contents: This workshop will introduce various readers at all levels and  
how to choose right books for your students. 
内容：フィクションやノンフィクションなどさまざまなトピックとレベルの 
なかから、精読や多読にお勧めのリーダーやシリーズをご紹介いたします。

Materials/教材:
Scholastic Readers, Time-to-Discover, Action Readers, Welcome Books, 
Rookie Readers, A True Book series, High Interest Books,  
Jigsaw Jones Mystery series, Rainbow Magic series,  
Usborne Young Readers, and more.

Kozue Sekiguchi/関口こずえ
Studied Reading Instruction in the US. Has experience teaching children 
in Japan and the US. Currently introducing English teaching and reading 
materials as a Scholastic Educational Consultant.
米国大学にてリーディング指導専攻。アメリカと日本において英語教育に携わる。
現在、スカラスティック教育コンサルタントとしてインターナショナルスクール、
英語学校から小中高大学まで幅広くReading教材を紹介中。
