Adjectives such as 'tough' and 'difficult' can be used instead of 'hard'. ex) There's no doubt Ford's vision and hard work has played a major role in the museum's success. He'll be a tough act to follow. ────────────────────────────── hand the reins over to, …に指揮権を譲り渡す ────────────────────────────── Journalists sometimes use the expression the reins or the reins of power to refer to the control of a country or oragniaztion. ex) He indicated he was determined to see the party keep a hold on the reins of power. ────────────────────────────── fill someone in, （情報などを）（人）に教える ────────────────────────────── If you fill someone in on a situation or event, you give them more information about it so that they have all the details. ex) I'll fill you in on the details now. ────────────────────────────── take the floor, （討論などで）発言する ────────────────────────────── If you take the floor, you start speaking in a debate or discussion. If you are given the floor, you are allowed to do this. ex) Only members would be given the floor. ────────────────────────────── read from the same page, 意思 [考え方] を統一する、同じ意見 を共有する ────────────────────────────── on the same page If two or more people are on the same page, they are in agreement about what they are trying to achieve.
