I found the customer service rep's attitude off-putting and annoyingly lackadaisical. ────────────────────────────── be ticked off, いらいらしている ────────────────────────────── If you say that something ticks you off, you mean that it annoys you. [AMERICAN, INFORAML] ex) She's still ticked off at him for brushing her off and going out with you instead. ────────────────────────────── get someone's goat, （人）を怒らせる、（人）をいらつかせる ────────────────────────────── If you say that someone or something gets your goat, you mean that they annoy you intensely. ex) It was a bad result and a bad performance, but what really got the media's goat was the manager's refusal to take all the blame. ────────────────────────────── get a vague, noncommittal answer, あいまいで要領を得ない返事 をもらう ────────────────────────────── You can describe someone as noncommittal when they deliberately do not express their opinion or intentions clearly. ex) Mr Hall is non-committal about the number of jobs that the development corporation has created. ────────────────────────────── think twice, よく考える、ちゅうちょする ────────────────────────────── If you think twice about doing something, you consider it again and deside not to do it, or decide to do it differently. ex) She'd better shut her mouth and from now on think twice before saying stupid things. ────────────────────────────── off-putting, 不快な、嫌な ────────────────────────────── If you describe a quality or feature of something as off-putting, you mean that it makes you dislike that thing or not want to get involved with it.
