　プサンに出張行ってきました。
　ＴＯＥソウルオフィスのヒナナです。

　プサンといえば、夏！
　海水浴場、水産市場などが有名だから
　昼間のお仕事が終わったら、
　夜は、海辺に行ったり、お刺身を食べたりしながら
　ロマンチックな真夏を満喫しよう☆
　と期待していたんですけど。

　現実は…
　プサンに着いて、早速書店周り。
　道迷いながら書店周り。
　営業時間終わるまで書店周り。
　ホテルに帰ってコンビニのお弁当を食べて、すぐ眠り。　
　
　次の日も、朝目覚めて書店周り。
　担当者を待ちながら書店周り。
　サンドウィッチ食べながら書店周り。

　そして、ソウルに帰ってきちゃいました。

　これはウソでしょ!!!!!　ありえない!!!
　プサンに行ってきた証拠はこれしかないんですよ!!!

　Ｑ．Which business do you focus on now?
 
　Ａ．My role at Cartoon Network revolves around animation development
　　　for the Asia Pacific region focusing on the creation of character 
　　　driven and kid-related programs for viewers between the ages of 4 and 14. 
　　　I look at Cartoon Network as a “content” company 
　　　rather than a cable channel because we work with some of the 
　　　best animators and studios in the region. Our support and work with
　　　such a diverse pool of talent is part of the reason Cartoon Network is 
　　　the number one kids’ channel in Asia.


　Ｑ．Are there any episodes in your Japanese-working life?
 
　Ａ．I think the cultural gap that exists for me is more a strength 
　　　as it allows me to easily assess which Japanese animated programs 
　　　will work outside of Japan. Japanese narrative structure and 
　　　comedy is completely different to what most of us grew up with in 
　　　Western markets. I grew up on a diet of The Flintstones, Mr. Magoo, 
　　　Bugs Bunny and Tom and Jerry. I feel uniquely qualified to work 
　　　in a development position as a result of having spent half of 
　　　my childhood watching these shows!


  Ｑ．Please let me know your opinion about the "specific character" 
      of the Japanese entertainment market.

　Ａ．Japan is an extremely diverse marketplace with a seemingly 
　　　endless supply of stories through the Manga industry. 
　　　If you took all of the Manga ever published and then highlighted 
　　　those that had been turned into Anime, you would be looking at 
　　　a negligible percentage. We are lucky here in terms of development 
　　　because there is obviously a LOT of content out there just waiting 
　　　to be adapted to the small or big screen!
