　さて、オーストラリアの長谷川裕先生から、以下のような研究協力
者を紹介してほしいという依頼がありました。全国の達セミフレンズ

（２月から３ヶ月間ほど、日本に滞在する予定です。）

研究名：Non-native and native speaker teachers’ perceptions on 
team-teaching approach: case of the JET programme   

研究対象者：（A)：JETプログラム参加者と（B)：JET教師受け入れ学校
の日本人英語教師

研究対象者（A）につきましては、現JET参加者アシスタント・ランゲー
ジ・ティーチャー＝ALTを対象としております。そして（B)はそのALTと
チームティーチングをされている日本人英語教師となります。今のところ
は高校のみを対象として探しております。計２０名ほどのインタビューを
考えておりますが、（A)と（B)インタビュー参加者につきましては、いつも
スケジュールや時間的、派遣地域的な都合上、すべての方に接触できると
は限りませんので、現時点では多ければ多いほどということで、お願いで
きますでしょうか。インタビューは、参加者（A)には英語で、参加者（B)
には日本語で行います。

全体像を含む詳細等は、下記をご参照ださい。もし何かございましたら、
私、長谷川裕までご一報くださると有難く存じます。

INTERVIEW PARTICIPANTS REQUIRED

Title：Non-native and native speaker teachers’ perceptions on 
team-teaching approach: case of the JET programme  

Researcher: Dr. Hiroshi Hasegawa

This study investigates the perceptions of non-native speaker 
teachers (NNSTs) and native speaker teachers (NSTs) towards each 
group in terms of their performance and the impact of the 
team-teaching approach in the EFL, being part of the Japan Exchange 
Teaching (JET) Programme conducted in Japan. The data will be 
collected in semi-structured interviews with Japanese EFL teachers, 
JET participants (= Assistant Language Teachers), and/or people 
involved in the programme. The collected data and its analysis will 
be featured in a paper, which will be useful in order to provide an 
improved teaching program for potential JET participants, EFL teachers 
and people involved in the JET programme in the future.

The interview will seek your demographic information first and then 
move to the main questions. The interview will take approximately 45 
minutes and be tape-recorded. All participation for the interview is 
entirely voluntary, so no payment will be made to any participant.

Some of your responses may be reported in publications as an anonymous 
quote, so your identity is strictly confidential. Access to the data 
will be open only to the researcher and an editor, should the researcher 
require this assistance. It will be stored in the office of the 
researcher at Curtin University of Technology. You are free to withdraw 
at any stage without penalty.

The project has received ethics approval from Curtin University of 
Technology’s Human Research Ethics Committee. If you have any concerns 
of an ethical nature or complaint regarding the manner in which the 
project is conducted, you may contact the Human Research Ethics Committee, 
Office of Research & Development. (In 2008 the secretary is Miss Linda

The interview will be conducted in very casual and stress free atmosphere. 
(I will be in Japan from February to April 2008.) I would be grateful if 
you could kindly give me some of your spare time for this matter.
